Com o segundo ano da pandemia da COVID-19, mais uma vez o tradicional Festival Folclórico de Parintins não ocorreu em seus moldes tradicionais. Tentando suprir a falta desse espetáculo tão fundamental para a cultura brasileira, Garantido e Caprichosos fizeram uma live especial no último sábado, dia 26 de junho. Como forma de movimentar a economia local, apoiados pelo governo do Amazonas, a ocupação da arena do Bumbódromo foi uma importante mensagem de esperança em tempos tão difíceis.

Na total falta de apoio e incentivo à cultura em geral no país, o folclore do boi-bumbá cumpre sua função de re-existir e ensinar a importância da poesia e da arte para formação da nossa identidade. Transmitidas para o mundo inteiro pela TV A Crítica, as apresentações dos dois conjuntos tiveram alguns dos principais itens julgados, durando cerca de duas horas cada uma, em formato adaptado. Obviamente, a tradicional “galera” foi o item mais sentido da lista de 21 que são julgados normalmente pelo júri do festival. A participação das arquibancadas é sempre um dos pontos altos da linguagem artística dos bois. A maneira como eles fazem do público parte da sua festa é uma lição para várias manifestações artísticas mundo afora, seja em teatros tradicionais ou sambódromos espalhados pelo país.

Foi justamente com a imagem da arquibancada vazia, que o Caprichoso abriu a primeira noite de apresentações, marcando a falta da presença popular como força motora da festa. O boi preto apareceu em meio aos degraus de concreto, num emocionante texto narrado pelo apresentador Edmundo Oran, acompanhado de um violino e com uma belíssima indumentária. Com apenas um grande módulo alegórico que foi se adequando durante a apresentação da noite, o boi se destacou nas indumentárias e no conjunto visual que apresentou. Uma ótima combinação entre azul e amarelo foi vista, tanto nos figurinos das tribos, como na roupa do jovem levantador Patrick Araújo, que chegou ao boi para substituir o místico David Assayag.

Um dos pontos altos da apresentação foi a entrada do pajé Erick Beltrão com um direção cênica e elementos alegóricos impressionantes. A representação do ritual Yanomami, com o uso do fogo, foi feita com um belo efeito visual e em coreografia. Mesmo com as limitações do formato, o Caprichoso trouxe sua conhecida assinatura visual marcante. Foi um grande e importante alento da cultura popular em tempos difíceis.

O Boi Garantido tomou a arena de Parintins quando já era alta madrugada. A força impressionante da levantadora de toadas Márcia Siqueira abriu o espetáculo do vermelho, já bradando de início um grito contra as forças opressoras da nossa sociedade ao lado de uma bela performance do conjunto de tribos. Na arquibancada vazia, surgiu o boi branco com uma iluminação forte que foi impossível não se emocionar, ao lado estava o amo do animal, os versos e rimas do João Paulo Faria tentaram representar a galera ausente naquela noite.

Também com um único módulo cenográfico que foi se modificando ao longo da noite, o Garantido trouxe suas tradicionais cores quentes mescladas ao verde, fazendo alusão a importantes marcos da cidade amazonense. A tradicional garra vermelha guiou uma apresentação emocionante, conversando com um visual mais simples. O trunfo do povo da Baixa do São José veio da força do seu time de quatro levantadores de toadas. A volta de David Assayag emocionou com clássicos do repertório do boi, juntou-se ainda a força de Márcia Siqueira, o carisma de Sebastião Júnior e Edilson Santana, formando um time que levou a máxima “brincar de boi” a sério até o minuto final da apresentação.

Aliar visual e força musical de maneira tão forte é uma lição importante que Parintins não deixou de apresentar na live dos bois em 2021. A força tradicional de um festival folclórico que soube muito bem alinhar-se com a inovação, soube se reinventar e mostrar sua potência criativa. É saber de tantas artes transformado em força comercial uma ilha no meio da Amazônia. Um festival que sabe se alinhar ao tecnológico e se faz presente e acessível a quem o deseja conhecer.

Quem quer de fato conhecer a arte produzida no Brasil, a força criativa que move esse povo caboclo precisa conhecer Parintins, a dramaticidade dos seus bois, o grito indígena das lendas e tradições cantadas anualmente por Garantido e Caprichosos. Duas forças da natureza. Forças complementares e potentes. Sem Caprichoso, não há Garantido. Sem Garantindo, não há Caprichoso. Sem Parintins, seríamos mais pobres como nação, seríamos um país com menos identidade. Viva a arte que nos forma, o país que queremos reinventar e o grito de re-existência do povo da Ilha da Magia, que levou poesia e afeto em meio a dureza de tantas perdas. Viva a cultura popular!
