A coluna “Espaço do Sambista”, publicada no jornal MEIA HORA, toda sexta-feira, revela que a Liga Independente das Escolas de Samba (Liesa) realiza na próxima segunda-feira, dia 14 de dezembro, o sorteio da ordem dos desfiles do Grupo Especial para os desfiles de 2021, que estão previstos para acontecerem em julho (dias 11 e 12), caso já tenha vacina contra Covid-19 no país.
Em tempos de pandemia, o presidente da Liesa, Jorge Castanheira, disse para coluna que o encontro será restrito aos presidentes das escolas de samba e que terá regras de distanciamento social.

“Estamos atentos com o avanço novamente da Covid-19 no Rio de Janeiro. Por isso, o sorteio será restrito aos presidentes e com regras de distanciamento social. Temos uma previsão dos desfiles acontecerem em julho de 2021, mas dependemos da vacina. Estamos fazendo o máximo possível de planejamento e sempre acompanhando o trabalho das autoridades sanitárias”, disse Castanheira.

Pelo regulamento do Grupo Especial, a Imperatriz Leopoldinense, campeã da Série A em 2020, abrirá os desfiles no domingo. Já o Paraíso do Tuiuti, 11ª colocada em 2020, será a primeira de segunda-feira. Como diz o artigo 48 do Regulamento do Carnaval 2020 é possível que essas duas escolas troquem de posições após o sorteio, quando o presidente da Liga permite dez minutos para trocas da ordem entre escolas que desfilem no mesmo dia.
As escolas que vão desfilar na posição ímpar vão ter a concentração no lado dos Correios e a posição par será no prédio do Balança. Jorge Castanheira revelou ao site CARNAVALESCO que a divulgação dos pares para o sorteio acontecerá somente durante a reunião plenária.
