Infelizmente, o mundo do carnaval sofre mais uma perda. Na noite desta sexta-feira, aos 64 anos, o intérprete e compositor Jorge Tropical. Ele é um dos autores, ao lado de Julio Lucchesi, do samba “Vilancete”, clássico da Vila Isabel, o inesquecível: “Vila quero vê-la linda/Quero vê-la ainda muito mais feliz (feliz)”. Segundo informações de amigos dadas ao site CARNAVALESCO, o sambista foi internado no período do Natal, devido uma trombose, mas teve alta e acabou falecendo em sua residência. Não foi divulgada a causa do falecimento e nem o local e horário do velório e enterro.

No período de 1993 até 1999, Jorge Tropical foi parceiro de Gera no carro de som da Unidos de Vila Isabel. Depois, seguiu sozinho no microfone principal da escola do bairro de Noel Rosa até o ano de 2003. Na Avenida, Tropical cantou “Kizomba” com Gera no desfile campeão da Vila Isabel em 1988.

Jorge Tropical também passou como apoio na Beija-Flor de Nilópolis, Imperatriz Leopoldinense e na União da Ilha. Venceu os sambas “Se esta terra, se esta terra fosse minha” (Vila Isabel 1990) e “Oscar Niemeyer – o arquiteto do recanto da princesa (Vila Isabel 2003).
