Ele trabalhou com gente de peso como João Nogueira, Roberto Ribeiro, Leci Brandão e Dona Ivone Lara. Recebeu o apelido de Príncipe do Pagode, em 1987, dado por uma rádio do Rio de Janeiro. Nas redes sociais, os sambistas Dudu Nobre, Mumuzinho e Arlindinho falaram da morte de Reinaldo.
