santacruz desfile2019 7Com o enredo “Ruth de Souza – Senhora Liberdade, Abre as Asas Sobre Nós”, a Acadêmicos de Santa Cruz levou para a avenida uma grande homenagem à atriz Ruth de Souza, um dos ícones da dramaturgia brasileira. A bateria da verde e branca da zona oeste carioca cruzou a Marquês de Sapucaí representando o prêmio Kikito de Ouro, um dos mais importantes no mundo do cinema e conquistado pela atriz em 2004, no Festival de Cinema de Gramado.

O festival tem como objetivo levantar discussões no campo cinematográfico. Na época, Ruth conquistou o prêmio de ouro por sua atuação no filme “As Folhas do Vento”, dirigido por Joel Zito Araújo. Além das premiações recebidas, ela também foi a primeira mulher negra a protagonizar uma novela nas telinhas e a primeira atriz negra a estar em um espetáculo no Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro.

Neste sentido, o mestre Riquinho, que comandou a bateria da verde e branca de Santa Cruz nesta sexta-feira de carnaval, comemorou a homenagem da escola a uma artista de tamanho prestígio. Para ele, os carnavalescos da agremiação são muito merecedores deste reconhecimento.

O ritmista Júlio Porto, que toca tamborim, ainda lembrou a garra da escola em desfilar debaixo de temporal. “Mesmo com a chuva, as agremiações se entregaram e se esforçaram para fazer o melhor carnaval do Rio de Janeiro. Eu daria o ‘Óscar do carnaval’ para o Cahê Rodrigues, que está fazendo um trabalho bem bonito, mesmo com as dificuldades da Santa Cruz. Todos sabem que trabalhar no acesso é bem diferente de se trabalhar no grupo especial. Com os poucos recursos que temos, ele está fazendo um bom trabalho!”, elogiou.

Já outros integrantes da escola apontam a Ruth como merecedora do “Óscar do carnaval”. Segundo a ritmista Jack Cruz, não é à toa que a atriz virou enredo. “É uma honra realizar um desfile com a participação dela, que veio no abre-alas da escola, deixando o trono preparado para ela de lado e participando do desfile em sua cadeira de rodas”, disse ela sobre Ruth, que foi aplaudida pelo setor 1 da Sapucaí.
